(story) : In 2018, I was hurt during martial arts and needed surgery. I was alone here in Canada and a young nurse from a hospital was assigned to help me recover from major surgery. Despite being young, I had a number of chronic health conditions. Despite being on pain medication, I experienced a lot of pain during her shift. The nurse assessed my vital signs and noted that my blood pressure and heart rate are high. The physician changed my pain medication after she notified him, but my condition did not improve. When she got frustrated and started wondering if she was missing something or doing something wrong, she was very confused and made me worried about her lack of knowledge and scope of practice.
