Being able to share our expertise in dental hygiene with those in need make community dental health such a valuable tool for members of the community who may not otherwise have the resources to access this education and care. Some of these events can be further enhanced in being able to provide services or products beyond what the targeted members of the community can afford, so being able to ask for donations can add a valuable resource to support community dental health events. For this week’s discussion, we will work on developing a donation letter that we can provide to our potential donors. Last week, we researched different community service events and the projects to be completed in this course may potentially be enhanced by donations of toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, educational materials etc., and we will work towards building a professional means for asking for donations.
