ID: 28-year-old Asian, identifies as female CC: “I don’t know what happened, I felt ok but next thing I knew I was on the floor” HPI: A medical student who is rotating at the primary care office experienced a syncopal episode. She was standing in a patient room doing an exam when she began feeling dizzy and leaned up against a wall and woke up on the floor. This event was witnessed by the physician in the room with her who stated that she fell against the wall, but was assisted to the floor and did not hit her head. She lost consciousness briefly and regained consciousness within 5-10 seconds. She currently denies any neck pain or headache. Reports feeling a little “woozy” but otherwise not pain. She denies any similar event in the past. She reports she has been in her usual state of health up until today. She notes she has been feeling a bit more tired, but also been very busy and stressed with medical school so thought it was related to that.
