From the movie with the main character

From the movie with the main character being Vivian, I would not wish my worst enemy to be in her position. From my point of view from what I have seen working in healthcare, I have seen these interpersonal interactions between healthcare workers and a patient. Vivian did not have the best relationship with her provider and they did not treat her with much respect besides the head nurse, Sue. The healthcare workers were talking behind her back and talking about her like she was not even conscious which she was and could hear everything. I see this sometimes in my work environment when a coworker will be talking about the patient thinking he or she is not listening. One thing that stood out to me that reflected what I learned in class was when Sue was sitting down talking to Vivian like a person and not just a patient. Sue had her full attention and gave her options on her care plan and talked about the DNR. The nurses and doctors clearly did not have the best communication because the doctor called a code when she decided she was DNR. The doctor put his desires before the patients. When I was watching the movie it kind of grossed me out at first with the doctor that was one of Vivian’s students. In my opinion that would make me unforgettable with him seeing intimate parts of my body. Plus, when he was in the room he did not make her feel comfortable with the pelvic exam and swung the door wide open, and did not cover her up enough. He also did not explain step by step what he was doing which made her uncomfortable. Finally, I feel like when the patient is in the room and you are talking about all these medications you are going to give, you should explain treatments and drugs in a way the patient can understand. All those fancy words are not used by the average person and they can be scared and fearful if they do not know what is happening or what is going into their body. please can you response to this post
