While discovering these business principles we are asked whether these are used within the current facility we are at and if they are not how we are able to implement them. To continue, we go in depth about how these business principles are important in health care as well as to ourselves. Successful healthcare systems require the implementation and rigorous adherence to sound business practices (Amelung, 2019). These guidelines explain how a company should be run and managed. They also establish norms and fundamental principles for consumers. In a healthcare setting, patients are sought as clients. The three business principles I chose are, ‘Decide what makes you different’, ‘Set goals’, and ‘Always maintain your integrity’. These three principles, in my eyes, are the most important when having any business. To elaborate, any business must have some kind of goals in order to be successful. Not having any set goals will not allow for you or your business to have the motivation to get to where you want to be. Next, one must decide what makes them different in order to stand out from other businesses and draw customers or patients to come to you. Through my facility, these two principles are shown through our mission and vision. Lastly, maintaining integrity is another important aspect when having a successful business. Integrity within a business shows that one is honest, has values, and will always keep their word (Fisher, 2008). To conclude, all business must strive to include all principles in order to start a successful business. The three principles stated above, are especially important in healthcare because I believe they allow for patients to feel safe and confident when coming into that facility. Having patients that feel safe and confident in the care they receive will allow for continuous success within that health care facility.
