In an organization, silos have been around

In an organization, silos have been around for a while and can impede change. What has been stated reminds me of Edgar Schein, another prominent scientist specializing in Organizational culture. A couple of his major tenets focus on the value of internal and external culture on organizational change. Schein believes that a positive internal culture is primary due to successful change processes. According to Schein, this is a leader who is very aware of the internal culture—the groups and sub-groups of the organization. I agree, when a leader is in tune with the internal culture of the organization positive outcomes are much improved. What suggestions do you have in measuring/assessing the culture of an organization to determine if it is ready for change? Reference Schein, E. (1995). The role of the founder in creating organizational culture. Family business review, 8(3), 221-238. Doi: 10.1111/j.1741-6248.1995.00221.
